If you are not going to use your vehicle for several weeks or longer, there are a couple of preventative measures you should consider. You, or a trusted friend, should start the vehicle once a week and allow it to run for a few minutes. If the car will be parked for longer, consider adding a fuel stabilizer to the fuel system. Fuel will become stale over time. In addition to running your car, move it forward or backward about a foot each week. If a car is left in one position for a lengthy time, flat spots can develop on the tires.
